Using Plastic Storage Boxes

Plastic storage boxes are often used in home organization projects. These boxes come in several sizes and are often clear to easily see what’s inside every box. These boxes are very versatile that you can use it for anything and I mean anything that you want to store.

Small plastic boxes are very good for storing food. Clear boxes are also ideal for storing meat in the freezer. Keeping a fair amount of meat in each box is also a very good idea. Defrosting meat, cooking just a portion and putting the rest back to the fridge will actually breed microbes in the meat and may potentially cause illness. Left-over food can also be stored in these boxes. You can easily take the lid off the box and pop it in the microwave for reheating. Just make sure that the boxes you purchased are microwave oven safe.

Medium boxes are usually used for storing shoes. Shoes are often one of the hardest things to organize, especially if you don’t have a place for them. Just keeping your shoes under the bed or even on a closet exposes them to dust, which might ruin them. People, especially those with a large collection of shoes would want to keep them in storage boxes instead. This would protect them from dust and you’ll be sure that your shoes would keep its form even if they fall off a high place. Also one advantage of keeping shoes in storage boxes is that they’ll both be together always. Looking for your shoe’s pair just when you have to go is an ultimate nightmare, and that won’t happen again if you keep your shoes in boxes.

Then you have large plastic storage boxes which are often used for clothes. Some people prefer keeping clothes in a box before putting them in wardrobes. This is because you can easily sort through clothes when they are in a box. As pointed earlier, clothes are protected from dust because of the plastic storage box’s lids.  You can even incorporate a few boxes into your laundry room organization. Large boxes are also ideal for keeping kid’s toys. Toys can be big or small, but it’s the small ones that get to Mom’s nerves. You see them on the table, in the living room, sometimes even inside the piano. Kids will learn organizing in an early age if you teach them how to properly use a storage box. It would also be easier for the kids to play if all of their toys can be found in place. Just make a rule that they need to pick up their toys right after playing.
